Naga Chaitanya returns with a promising action entertainer with his most-awaited film of 2023, 'Custody.' The actor who hasn't delivered a blockbuster hit in a while, is returning on the big screen with Venkat Prabhu's directorial.
The official trailer of the film was released today which promises to be a fast-paced action-drama about an honest constable, ready to take a criminal in his 'custody' and produce him in front of the court.
Naga Chaitanya is entitled to play the role of Shiva, a police constable wanting to be honest with his profession. In the trailer, one can witness him receiving flak from his boss for stopping the car of the Chief Minister, instead of guarding it.
The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu, where Naga Chaitanya is playing the role of a protagonist, protecting the antagonist i.e. Aravind Swami, and not letting him die to produce him in front of the court, is an interesting thriller.
Naga Chaitanya abiding his job responsibilities and also tries to protect his love essayed by Krithi Shetty, as she is being forced to marry another guy. The intensity at which the character of Naga Chaitanya can go, as fighting against the corrupt institution and the society.
The film also features Sharath Kumar and Priyamani, and glimpses of the two can be seen in the trailer as well. The background score of the film is given by Maestro Ilayaraja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja.

After a long period, Naga Chaitanya will be seen as a pure action film where the moviegoers cannot wait to know what's in store for them. The trailer of the film thus ends with him saying, "Truth will take time to win, but win, it certainly will."
'Custody' is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi and is being released under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. SR Kathir is the cinematographer of the film, Rajeevan is the production designer, and DY Satyanarayana is the art director for the film.
