Mrunal Thakur In Dacoit: Actress Mrunal Thakur has been on roll. She is all set to headline Adivi Sesh's pan-Indian action drama Dacoit. As actor Adivi Sesh is celebrating his birthday today, he made an exciting announcement, revealing Mrunal Thakur as the female lead in his upcoming action drama Dacoit. Reportedly, Mrunal Thakur has replaced actress Shruti Haasan in the lead role.

Adivi Sesh announced his female lead, Mrunal Thakur to be part of this high octane movie Dacoit, making his birthday even more special. He shared the first poster on his Instagram handle. The first glimpse of the actors shows Sesh and Mrunal in intense expressions. In the second poster, Mrunal can be seen driving the car with a serious look and a gun in her hand while Sesh sitting next to her in a car, lighting a cigarette. The posters emphasize the intensity of their roles.

Dacoit is a story of a convict seeking vengeance on his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. He sets the stage for an intense action drama and intense face off. Directed by Shaneil Deo who marks his directorial debut, this movie is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. The action drama features a story and screenplay jointly crafted by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. The film is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

Sharing her excitement of joining Dacoit team as a lead, Mrunal Thakur said in a statement, "The story of Dacoit is true in its essence, a great mixture of rustic storytelling that is elevated with the stylised vision of both Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. The character I’m set to depict in the films will allow me to explore shades of playing an on-screen character that I haven’t explored before as an actor. This movie marks the first collaboration between Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. The film is currently being shot in Hyderabad, with further schedules planned in Maharashtra.
