Daldal Trailer Out: The gripping trailer for the Hindi criminal thriller series, Daldal, was released by Prime Video today, January 21, 2026. It comes after the eerie teaser that received a lot of praise for its disturbing and terrifying imagery. Daldal, which takes place in the busy metropolis of Mumbai, centres on DCP Rita Ferreira, portrayed by Bhumi Satish Pednekkar, as she sets out on a perilous investigation to find a heartless serial killer. Daldal, which is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni, is based on the best-selling book Bhendi Bazaar by Vish Dhamija.
Daldal trailer brings the terrifying world of DCP Rita Ferreira (Bhumu Pednekkar) to life with visceral intensity, offering an adrenaline-pumping fall. It reveals a string of vicious, painstakingly planned killings that reveal the profoundly deranged mind of a cold-blooded killer. Rita is drawn further into a sinister and unnerving investigation that could swallow her whole as the murder count increases. She battles her own inner demons and the unrelenting strain of a system that expects results at all costs while racing against time, driven to her breaking point.
Daldal is anchored by Bhumi Pednekkar's unvarnished portrayal, which conveys Rita's sensitivity, tenacity, and the psychological toll of facing absolute evil both inside and externally. Not for the timid, Daldal skillfully combines suspenseful suspense with psychological dread, creating a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where the hunter could wind up being the hunted.

Bhumi Pednekkar's performance in the trailer itself opened to positive reactions. Many lauded her powerfule role in this serious genre. A user wrote, "Looks like interesting… little bit giving Mandala Murders vibes…. Bhoomi ne boom macha dala." Another user wrote, "Bhumi Pednekar ka comeback hoga yeh." A third user wrote, "Mast trailer kata hai bhai bawal," while the fourth user said, "This time Bhumi is serious in her acting. It looks great." A fifth person hailed Bhumi's choice and said, "Bhumi is going to get a lot of praise for such a role and performance. She is extremely talented, but the Bollywood lobby discards her in good films. Thats really sad. Seems like a story of a female cop psycho killer."
When To Watch Daldal On Prime Video?
Daldal will release exclusively on Prime Video on January 30, packed with nerve-shredding suspense and unease.
Bhumi Satish Pednekkar, who plays DCP Rita Ferreira in Daldal, said, "Playing Rita Ferreira has been one of the most intense and creatively fulfilling experiences of my career. She is a woman forged by ambition, haunted by doubt, and burdened by the weight of her past – a character who demanded that I explore the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength in ways I had never done before. Stepping into her world was both challenging and deeply rewarding, as Rita's journey mirrors the complexities we all face when confronting our own demons."
Bhumi added, " Reuniting with Vikram, after the hugely successful Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, was like a homecoming, and I am profoundly grateful to Suresh, Amrit, and the entire team behind this series for entrusting me with such a richly layered and emotionally demanding role. Daldal holds a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled that the series is premiering exclusively on Prime Video on January 30, reaching audiences across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. I hope Rita's story resonates with viewers as powerfully as it has with me."
An Abundantia Entertainment production, Daldal is created by Suresh Triveni and written by Sreekanth Agneeaswaran, Rohan D’Souza, and Priya Saggi, with powerful dialogues penned by Suresh Triveni and Hussain Haidry. The crime thriller series also stars Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal in lead roles alongside Bhumi Pednekkar.
