Karan Johar opened up about his views on trolling over Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone after their appearance on his chat show, Koffee With Karan. In a recent conversation with Raj Shamani on his podcast, he said, "I think they spoke from their heart. I thought they were honest. I think (the backlash) was ridiculous, I’m sorry. I don’t agree with the reaction. They were beautiful. They were honest. They were earnest. They were sincere. They were deeply in love with each other."

The filmmaker further added, "They’re a wonderful couple, and I’ve known them personally. Now they have a gorgeous daughter. Respect their love story, don’t judge it. That’s all I have to say."

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Karan Johar is basking in the success of his latest produced movie Kesari Chapter 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan. He is all set to come up with Homebound, Written and directed by Ghaywan. It stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa.
