Alia Bhatt made her Met Gala debut in a stunning Prabal Gurung gown on May 1 (May 2 in India). However, just hours ahead of the Met, actor Deepika Padukone dropped a series of pictures and videos from the Oscars, for which she received a lot of criticism. Now, days after the grand event, the Bajirao Mastani actor praised Alia Bhatt on social media.
On Friday, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor shared a BTS video from the Met Gala 2023 featuring what went behind her look. The post read, “@aliaabhatt turned to designer @PrabalGurung for her #MetGala debut, for which even this superstar was a little nervous. Wobbly knees were nowhere to be seen once this glamorous look hit the carpet, though. The all-white outfit elegantly fit into the night’s dress code of "in honor of Karl.” Featuring a dramatic sheer train and hundreds (if not thousands) of pearl beads, the look served up pure princess bride—which certainly was a recurring theme in the decades-spanning catalog of Lagerfeld’s work. Another nice touch? She wore a single fingerless glove, which was one of Lagerfeld’s favorite accessories (though he wore two)."

Now, reacting to Alia Bhatt's Instagram post, Deepika Padukone took to the comments section and wrote, "You did it," adding a red heart emoticon to it.
Alia Bhatt looked breathtaking in a pearl-embellished gown with a long floor-sweeping train by designer Prabal Gurung. Her Met Gala costume had a plunging necklining with no sleeves, a tight silhoutte from the mid riff and a long floor-sweeing train. Alia parted her hair in half-tied hair with a shiny bow-shaped hair accessory on it. She accessorised her look with shiny pair of earrings.
Alia's costume designer Prabal Gurung also attended the event. For the event, he twinned with the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor, as evident from the following picture. Prabal wore an ivory ivory-coloured pant suit which he teamed up with similar pair of footwear.
