Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reportedly expecting their first child, as per a report by The Week. The news comes as Deepika is said to be in her second trimester. Speculations arose after Deepika was seen hiding her midriff at the 77th BAFTA red carpet, where she dazzled in a shimmery saree and custom jewellery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The couple, known for their on-screen chemistry and off-screen romance, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last year. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Italy's Lake Como after dating for six years. Their relationship began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic film 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela', and they have since appeared together in films like 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat'.

In a recent interview with Vogue Singapore, Deepika expressed her excitement about starting a family with Ranveer, stating, “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.” She also reflected on her upbringing, emphasizing the importance of staying grounded despite fame and fortune.

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in the aerial action thriller 'Fighter' opposite Hrithik Roshan. She is set to star in the sci-fi action thriller 'Kalki 2898 AD' alongside Prabhas, scheduled for release on May 9, 2024. Meanwhile, Ranveer will reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty's cop drama 'Singham Again', which also features Deepika, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor. Ranveer is also slated to headline Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3', expected to hit the screens in 2025.
