After much anticipation, Kantara Chapter 1 was released worldwide on October 2, 2025. Since then, Rishab Shetty's film has been basking in success and breaking records at the box office. The film has received praise from both fans and industry members. Recently, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met the Kantara Chapter 1 team, including actor-director Rishab Shetty, at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan and appreciated the film's narrative honouring India’s cultural heritage.

Taking to her official X handle, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta shared a photo with the Kantara team and expressed her admiration for the film. She wrote, “Met Rishab Shetty, actor and director of Kantara Chapter 1 and his team at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan today. The film beautifully reflects India’s spiritual depth and cultural richness, bringing alive the essence of our traditions. Works like Kantara proudly carry the spirit of our heritage to the global stage. Wishing the entire team great success in this remarkable cinematic journey.”

Following her post, Hombale Films, the official makers of Kantara Chapter 1, thanked Delhi CM for her views. The post read "Heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri @gupta_rekha ji for the gracious welcome and kind appreciation.
