Demonte Colony 2 On OTT:  Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar’s Tamil movie is all set to make its digital debut this month. The horror comedy-drama was released in theatres on August 15. It had a box office clash with Vikram’s Thangalaan on Independence Day. The movie could not make a mark at the ticket windows due to its big clash with Vikram’s movie. Nevertheless, Demonte Colony 2 is all set to entertain the audience again but this time on OTT.

The Tamil horror comedy-drama is the sequel to the 2015 movie of the same name. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s directorial revolves around a group of friends who returned to a cursed location. They unveil the truth about the spirit living in that place. The movie stars Arulnithi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Archana Ravichandran, Sarjano Khalid, Muthu Kumar and Arun Pandian in prominent roles. Demonte Colony 2 received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. 

In an interview with Hindu, Arulnithi said “Everyone loved Demonte Colony, and what I consider to be the biggest advantage of Demonte Colony 2 is how the story continues from the original film. It would have been a topic of concern if the film was a standalone sequel. The sequel will be a success since it has the raciness and thrills the first part had,” said the actor.

He added, “Moreover, the first film was shot on a small budget, but over the years, the director has also made some big-budget films, and the space to do it bigger is high in this sequel. Be it storywise or technically, he brought the best for each frame.”
