Prabhu Deva’s Vibe Live In Dance Concert in Chennai on February 22 was a star-studded affair, with actors Dhanush, Vadivelu, and SJ Suryah gracing the event. The concert featured several electrifying performances, but one moment that stood out was Dhanush joining Prabhu Deva on stage for an impromptu dance to Rowdy Baby.
Dhanush’s Rowdy Baby from Maari 2 (2018), choreographed by Prabhu Deva, Jani Master, and Baba Bhaskar, remains one of Tamil cinema’s most popular dance numbers. When the actor was invited to perform at the concert, he initially seemed hesitant. However, as the music kicked in, he quickly got into the groove, dancing alongside Prabhu Deva. Fans at the event captured the moment, and videos have since been making rounds on social media.

Apart from setting the stage on fire with his moves, Dhanush also took a moment to acknowledge Prabhu Deva’s immense influence on Indian dance. Speaking at the event, he said, “There’s a clear difference between before and after Prabhu Deva; that’s what any dancer says. Isn’t it true? He made all of India take notice. He made small children dance and brought people to theatres with his moves… He is a legend who brought about the evolution of dance choreography. I am very happy to be here today.”
Prabhu Deva shared several lighthearted moments with his long-time collaborator Vadivelu as Petta Rap played. Meanwhile, SJ Suryah entertained the crowd with his energetic presence, even joining Prabhu Deva for a brief dance segment, while Vadivelu cheered them on.
On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in Captain Miller and Raayan (2024), the latter being his directorial venture. He also directed Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, which introduced his nephew Pavish in a lead role. Currently, he is working on Idly Kadai alongside Nithya Menen. Fans can also look forward to his upcoming projects, including Kubera with Sekhar Kammula, starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh, as well as Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein with Kriti Sanon.
