Janhvi Kapoor has come across a controversy unknowingly, as she liked an Instagram reel in which there was a comparison between her mother, Sridevi and Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit. The reel was made to criticise a popular award ceremony for not acknowledging her Sridevi’s dual role performance in Khuda Gawah (1992), rather giving the best actress award to Madhuri Dixit for Beta (1992). Janhvi, the eldest daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor apparently liked the reel, which is currently not visible. The video has a caption, “Madhuri in Beta did vulgar step song and did nothing in the movie and won Best Actress award”. It further added, “Sridevi in Khuda Gawah did double role with landmark acting that carried whole movie on her shoulder still ignored her for Best Actress.”
