Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has been making headlines since its release on the OTT platform Netflix. Recently, a video from the premiere of the series has resurfaced online, where renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali can be seen pushing away Richa Chadha during the photo session. It sparked a debate on the internet, as the director moved Richa aside so that his niece Sharmin Segal could be seen alongside him for the pictures.

The climax mujra with the most beautiful song (sung by no less than legendary Shreya Ghoshal) went to her with no merit, and she brutally hampered the beauty of both dance and music. Why wasn't SLB mentoring her well? Aishwarya, Deepika, Alia thrived under his direction, but somehow, he could not make his own niece understand the depth of Alamzeb.”
