Smriti Irani’s acting comeback, that too as Tusli Virani in the second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has created a buzz on social media. Fans were quite excited during the time of its premiere. However, nowadays, later netizens on social media are disappointed over the excessive usage of Irani’s body doubles in some scenes, which led to severe backlash online. Amid this, an Indian Express report suggests that Smriti Irani has been shooting for the show separately. When there is a shot with family, her body double is being used.

Many Twitterati shared their opinion on it. A user said, “#KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi #KSBKBT #KSBKBT2: Yeh Smriti poora season body double k saath toh nahi nikaal degi na? Barkha's character will b related with Pari ka sasuraal kya? Ekta showing what? EMA with samdhi ki family? Mera yeh tweet jinx karo.”

Another wrote, “#KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi #KSBKBT #KSBKBT2 Strange that #smritiirani shoots separately and uses body double for most of her scenes.. Why come for acting when not ready to take shots with rest of the cast! That too it's not even a month since the serial is on air! Ridiculous!”

Despite all the backlash, Smriti Irani’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has been a chartbuster. Earlier in an interview with Times Now, she shared her views on the milestone achieved in a short period of time. She said, “Humare show ne itihaas racha television ke liye. Log kehte hai history doesn’t repeat itself; well, I guess we have defeated that. Itihaas humne dohraya. Aaj agar aap kahein ki koi aisa show hai, jo aaj chal raha hai or 25 saal baad dobara reinvent or re-live ho sakta hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Toh apne aap mein television main is uplabdhi ko paana chhoti baat nahi hai.”
