Diljit Dosanjh brought his high-energy Dil-Luminati Tour to Delhi, where he held his second show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Amidst an electrifying crowd, Diljit shared touching sentiments about his love for his native language and respect for India’s linguistic diversity.

In a video shared on Instagram, Diljit told the audience, “When I was born, my mother spoke Punjabi, so that was my first language. Our country has so many languages—Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and I respect them all. But because my mother spoke Punjabi, I naturally do too.” Embracing his Punjabi roots, he launched into "Main Hoon Panjab" from his recent film Amar Singh Chamkila, sparking a wave of cheers from fans.

Wrapped in the Indian flag and wearing a black ensemble, Diljit dedicated the performance to his fans, captioning his Instagram clip with “Delhi Day 2 ONE LOVE DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24.” Ayushmann Khurrana and other celebrities responded with supportive emojis, applauding the show’s energy and Diljit’s spirit.

Sunday night’s concert, attended by approximately 40,000 fans, saw the artist performing hits like 5 Taara, Do You Know, GOAT, Proper Patola, Hass Hass, Lemonade, and Patiala Peg. Diljit opened the show with his popular song Born to Shine, wearing a traditional white dhoti-kurta and aviator sunglasses, setting the tone for a two-hour set that mesmerized his fans.

Alongside the music, Diljit encouraged his audience to pursue their dreams. “Dream as big as you can,” he said. “We were born to fulfill our dreams. I didn’t study much, but if I can make people speak Punjabi, you can achieve anything.”

The Delhi show was the second stop in Diljit’s India tour after touring globally across the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. The singer is set to continue his tour across nine other cities, including Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune and Kolkata, with a grand finale in Guwahati on December 29.
