Drashti Dhami and Niraj Khemka welcomed their first child on October 22 (Tuesday). They announced the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram. The much-awaited news turned delight to her fans. In the animation post, they shared on social media, a tent and a baby elephant were featured. It read “Straight from heaven into our hearts. A whole new life, a whole new start. 22.10.24. She's here! Elated parents Drashti and Niraj. Overjoyed grandparents Suman-Prakash Khemka, Vibhuti Dhami.” They captioned the post, “SHE IS HERE 22.10.2024.” 

Several celebrities showered their love and good wishes to new parents. Karan V Grover wrote, “Congratulations mummy and papa.” Anita Raj commented, “She's here yours & Nirajs angel. Guruji bless your families with endless happiness blessings always. Lots of love.” Nakuul Mehta and Jankee posted heart emojis. Fans also bestowed blessing and congratulations messages on the post. 

For the past few days, the actress has been giving updates about her pregnancy. She mentioned that the baby was making her wait longer than expected. She wrote on Instagram, “The wait is killing me.” In another post, she said, “Baby is really teasing me now.”

Drashti announced her pregnancy in June this year. In a fun video shared on Instagram, the couple made a joint post and wrote “Could be Pink, Could be Blue. All we know is that we are due! October 2024.” The duo tied knot in 2015. 

On the work front, Drashti was last seen in Duranga. The Zee5 show also starred Gulshan Devaiah, Amit Sadh, Hera Mishra, Divya Seth, Zakir Hussain, Barkha Bisht, Abhijeet Khandkekar and Tanuka Laghate. She is known for her work in Television shows including Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Dill Mill Gayye, I Don't Watch TV and Rang Badalti Odhani to name a few.
