'Dream Girl 2' stands as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Dream Girl.' Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, this film graced the silver screen on August 25, 2023. It boasts an extensive ensemble cast that includes Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, and Seema Pahwa. The comedy-drama is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures. Now, let's delve into the details of the star cast's remuneration.

According to a report in the Financial Express, Ayushmann Khurrana, who is considered the heart and soul of the film, initially demanded a substantial Rs 25 Cr for his role in the first installment of 'Dream Girl.' However, given the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, he agreed to a reduced fee of Rs 10 Cr for the second installment. The seasoned comedy maestro, Paresh Rawal, rightfully secured a well-deserved compensation of Rs 1.5 crore for his comic genius. Rajpal Yadav's fee for his contribution amounted to 1 crore, while Anu Kapoor, known for his acting finesse, received a commendable sum of Rs 85 lakhs. Vijay Raaz, celebrated for his versatile acting and memorable characters, secured his position with a paycheck of Rs 70 lakh. Speaking of box office earnings, 'Dream Girl 2' displayed a great performance during its initial week at the box office, amassing an India net total of Rs 67.00 crore. The Ayushmann Khurrana-led film continued its successful run by earning an estimated Rs 4.70 crore on its eighth day, resulting in a cumulative collection of Rs 71.70 crore. Notably, on Friday, September 1, 2023, the movie maintained an impressive Hindi occupancy rate of 18.49%.
