Dua Lipa's Levitating X Woh Ladki Mashup: Abhijeet Bhattacharya's Son Calls Out Social Media For NOT Crediting His Father

Dua Lipa, the international singing sensation was recently in Mumbai, where she entertained her devoted fan base. She performed the new mashup of her song Levitating with Shah Rukh Khan's song Woh Ladki Jo at the special evening. Many were impressed by her performance, but Jay Bhattacharya, the son of singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, was upset that his father wasn't given due credit for creating the timeless song.

The internet was flooded with Shah Rukh Khan's Woh Ladki Jo X Dua Lipa's Levitating mashups from her most recent performance in Mumbai. The global singing sensation has received praise for her on-stage performance of the popular song. Jay Bhattacharya, on the other hand, voiced his discontent on his social media handle for not crediting his father, who crooned the well-known Shah Rukh Khan song from his movie Baadshah.

"Unfortunately we live in a country where not one news outlet or instagram page has mentioned the VOICE and the artist of this song. Why has it always been about actors in this country? Yes Shahrukh Khan is tha star of the song undoubtedly but there is another man another legend involved! I’m sure when @dualipa heard this song she must’ve have heard it and appreciated the man that has sung this song along with SRK (sic)," he said.

Jay further added, "It is @abhijeetbhattacharya and composed by @anumalikmusic Im sorry but this song is called woh ladki jo sabse alag hai - Abhijeet wherever you search it but somehow the media in this country never lets a singer get his due and then people ask me why don’t you try and sing for Bollywood (sic)."

Jay Bhattacharya went on to clarify that this post is not about Shah Rukh Khan. "Im his biggest fan ever and he is the GOAT and yes he took the song to another level but let everyone get the credit it’s high time! This is about our audience and our media who don’t support the singers of our country like they do in the west, " he continued. 

He mentioned that his father deserves respect since he does his riyaaz every morning and puts in a lot of effort every day to go out and perform songs live on stage for his admirers every day for the past 35 years.

Dua Lipa dropped pictures from her latest visit to Mumbai, India. She was seen lying around a massive floral rangoli. The international singer also posed with her sister after taking a boat trip from Mumbai's Gateway of India. Dua Lipa dropped a few concert photos of BTS and the caption read, "Thank you Mumbai!!!!! 🇮🇳 off to our next and FINAL stop of the Asia run... SEOUL!!!!! (sic)."
