BTS V aka Kim Taehyung is one of the most popular Kpop idols in the world who has achieved several milestones in his career. The singer is currently serving in the military but has been continuously releasing new projects. He debuted with his group in 2013 and has gained a massive fan following all over the world within a span of a decade. But do you know Kim Taehyung almost chose another name as his stage name ahead of his debut?

In an earlier interview, BTS V revealed that he had three options as his stage name before his debut but decided to go with V. He revealed, "My stage name was chosen last. Six, Lex, V. Those three names were suggested but the members and PD all said that V fit me the best and so I picked V to stand for victory”

On the work front, V released his first album 'Layover' and it was at No.1 on iTunes in over 100 countries worldwide. 'Layover' has six songs: 'For You', 'Blue', 'Slow Dancing', 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Version). BigHit Music released an official statement on Weverse and said, "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Layover consists of six tracks in total – five tracks and a bonus track. To fully appreciate the al2bum’s flow, we recommend listening to it in sequence from start to finish."

He also teamed up with Kpop idol actress IU for her single 'Love Wins All' and starred in the music video.

He released his single 'FRI(END)S, which became a huge hit. He won The Fact Music Awards in the seasonal Best Music category for his latest song 'FRI(END)S'.
