South Korean singer and actress Jo Yuri rose to fame with the most popular Kdrama Squid Game 2. The actress played the role of a pregnant woman, who is player number 222, in the survival drama series. Her character plays an important part in the second season of Squid Game. According to a Korean media outlet, Timetalk, Jo Yuri earned 300 million KRW (approximately Rs 1.8 crore) per episode in Squid Game 2. According to several media reports, her co-star in the show T.O.P (Cho Seung Hyun) has earned the same amount. Lee Jung Jae, who played the role of Seong Gi Hun (Player 456), earned Rs 10.1 billion KRW for the season.
Squid Game made its debut on Netflix in 2021. The kdrama got instant recognition across the world for its unique concept and storyline. The first season had 9 episodes in total, whereas the second season had seven episodes. The main plotline of the series is that hundred of cash-strapped players accepts the strange invitation of a deadly game. It risks their life but if one can win then that person will get 45.6 billion as prize money. The third season of Squid Game is set to arrive on Netflix on June 27, bringing more challenging and deadly games.
Squid Game Season 3 features Lee Jungjae, Lee Byunghun, Yim Siwan, Kang Haneul, Wi Hajun, Park Gyuyoung, Park Sunghoon, Yang Donggeun, Kang Aesim, Jo Yuri, Chae Kukhee, Lee David, Roh Jaewon and Jun Sukho in key roles. Park Heesoon will have a special appearance in the series.
