Elvish Yadav is under scanner again after he was accused of sharing a fake video and tarnishing the image of Rajasthan Police on his YouTube channel. In a video shared on his channel, Elvish stated that he was once being escorted by the Rajasthan police while he was on his way to Jaipur. The vlog featured Yadav along with former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas’ son. The former Minister’s son drove the vehicle and Yadav was discussing about the police vehicle ahead of their car. Elvish went on to say, “Rajasthan Police was taking care of me throughout the day.” Khachariyawas’ son then said that the vehicle was of a local police station and soon a permanent vehicle will be joining them.
After the video went viral on social media, Rajasthan police dismissed the claims by Elvish Yadav. Rameshwar Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police told ETimes that Elvish Yadav did not receive any escort vehicle. He accused the YouTuber for tarnishing the image of Rajasthan Police. As per reports, an FIR has been filed against him at the cyber police station for allegedly posting a fake video and an investigation is underway.
Former Minister and Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas told the media, “Elvish Yadav has often visited me, and as a politician, I meet a lot of people. My government is not in power so, I do not know who has asked for an escort or why the police vehicle was escorting him. Neither my son nor I have asked for an escort. One should ask the state government or Elvish what was going on with the police vehicles… The issue is stretched too much.”
Last year, Elvish Yadav made headlines related to the Noida Snake Venom case. He was arrested by the police under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. After a week, he was granted bail with a bond of Rs 50,000.
