Emergency vs Azaad Box Office Collection Day 6: The Kangana Ranaut movie has underperformed at the box office since its January 17 release following multiple delays brought on by censorship concerns. Azaad, on the other hand, starring Ajay Devgn and directed by Abhishek Kapoor, is struggling for numbers at the box office.

Emergency Box Office Collection 

Emergency, directed by Kangana Ranaut and based on the 1957 Indian Emergency period, began its theatrical run with a strong start but gradually dropped during the week. On day 6 (Wednesday), the picture brought in Rs 0.85 crore, taking its total India net collection to Rs. 13.25 crore.

Day 1 - Rs. 2.5 crore
Day 2 - Rs. 3.6 crore
Day 3 - Rs. 4.25 crore
Day 4 - Rs. 1.05 crore
Day 5 - Rs. 1 crore
Day 6 - Rs. 0.85 crore (early estimates)
Total - Rs 13.25 crore

The majority of theatres in Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and Bathinda did not screen the Emergency because it was released during state-wide protests in Punjab.

Azaad Box Office Collection

Azaad, which starred debutants Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan, was one of several recent newcomer debut films that made less than one crore on its sixth day at the box office.

Day 1- Rs 1.5 Crore
Day 2- Rs 1.3 Crore
Day 3- Rs 1.75 Crore
Day 4- Rs 0.65 Crore
Day 5- Rs 0.64 Crore
Day 6- Rs 0.54 Crore
Total - Rs 6.38 crore

The captivating drama Azaad, which is at the top of the charts, examines themes of self-discovery, independence, and revolt. The Abhishek Kapoor-directed movie, which starred promising newcomers Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan, was widely praised for its compelling plot and strong performances.

Emergency vs Azaad Box Office Collection Report

Emergency seems to be doing better than Azaad. The Ajay Devgn starrer's first-day opening collection of Rs 1.5 crore was lower than Kangana Ranaut's docu-drama of Rs 2.5 crore. Likewise, Emergency reached Rs 3.6 crore on day 2, but Azaad fell to Rs 1.3 crore. The net India collection for Azaad is currently Rs 6.38 crore, less than Emergency's Rs 13.25 crore.

Despite the excellent work of Ajay Devgn and Mohit Malik, as well as Diana Penty's heartfelt performance, Azaad has had trouble attracting large crowds since its opening weekend.
