Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur are all set to charm audiences with their upcoming rom-com, Family Star, directed by Parasuram Petla. The much-anticipated trailer of the film was released recently, giving fans a glimpse into the world of love and misunderstandings that the characters will grapple with.

In the trailer, Vijay Deverakonda's character is shown praying to god, hoping that nothing is taken away from his life, if not added to it. Mrunal Thakur plays his neighbour, someone close to his family, much to his dismay. While she seems to develop feelings for him before he does for her, the story takes a turn when they find themselves in the US, where he ends up working under her. However, things seem to change drastically, with Mrunal's character believing that she is the biggest problem in his life, leading to an intense confrontation where she slaps him in anger.

Vijay Deverakonda took to social media to share the trailer, inviting everyone to "celebrate, laugh, cheer, relive, and have a great time in the theatres" when the film releases on April 5.

The promotions for Family Star kicked off in Hyderabad on Holi, with Vijay and Mrunal interacting with fans, playing with gulaal, and even dancing to a song from the film, "Kalyani Vacha Vacha," much to the delight of everyone present. Mrunal also visited the Sri Yellamma Pochamma temple in Hyderabad with her team before the release.

Family Star marks Mrunal Thakur's third Telugu film, following the success of Sita Ramam with Dulquer Salmaan and Hi Nanna with Nani. The film also features cameo appearances by Divyansha Kaushik and Rashmika Mandanna. 

Apart from Family Star, Vijay Deverakonda has also signed up for a period drama with director Gautham Tinnanuri, adding to the excitement of fans eager to see more of his work.
