Tillu Square: Telugu-language romantic crime comedy film directed by Mallik Ram and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Serving as the sequel to the 2022 film DJ Tillu, Siddhu Jonnalagadda reprises his role from the previous installment, while Anupama Parameswaran stars as the female lead. The film was officially announced in June 2022 by Naga Vamsi, with principal photography commencing in August 2022.
Ram Miriyala and Sricharan Pakala are the music directors, while Sai Prakash Ummadisingu handles cinematography and Naveen Nooli manages editing.
Tillu Square: Release Date
Tillu Square has faced several postponements in its release due to post-production issues. Initially slated for a worldwide release on February 9, 2024, it was rescheduled to avoid a five-way Sankranti clash with the film 'Eagle.' After multiple delays, it is now set for a theatrical release on March 29, 2024.
With a U/A censor rating, the second theatrical release trailer for Tillu Square was unveiled on March 27, generating significant excitement. In the sequel Tillu Square, Siddhu Jonnalagadda and other actors such as Muralidhar Goud, Praneeth Reddy Kallem, etc, reprise their roles from the original film.
Speaking about the movie, Siddhu Jonnalagadda expressed that Tillu Square features a kickass story, with entertainment evenly distributed throughout the first and second halves, along with a thrilling interval sequence. He teased a significant surprise in the pre-climax and described the climax as shocking. Additionally, he mentioned that the film incorporates solid elements and hinted at the possibility of a sequel to Tillu Square.
Tillu Square: Storyline
The 3-minute and 35-second trailer offers a sneak peek into DJ Tillu's return to precarious situations. Amidst navigating romantic feelings for a girl, he appears ready to confront danger on her behalf. Expertly crafted, the trailer suggests Siddu's character facing new challenges stemming from his romantic involvement, all while avoiding revealing too much detail. Anupama Parameswaran takes on the lead role alongside Siddhu Jonnalagadda, portraying his romantic interest in the movie. The chemistry between the lead pair, combined with Mallik Ram's direction, is expected to captivate audiences, with a glimpse of their rapport evident in the trailer.
Tillu Square: OTT Platform
Reportedly, Siddhu Jonnalagadda's Tillu Square's digital streaming rights for the film were acquired by Netflix India for around Rs 35 Crore.
