Following his appearance in the box office hit 'Animal,' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, it has been disclosed that Bobby Deol will assume the role of the antagonist in the upcoming Yash Raj Films Spy Universe installment featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.
According to PinkVilla, Bobby Deol has signed on to portray the villain in the upcoming female spy film, "After Animal, this is yet another author-backed antagonist turn for Bobby Deol. He will be playing the terrifying evil force who takes on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the film. The paperwork is done and Bobby is all excited to start shooting for the film in the second half of 2024."
The reports further stated that the character is specifically crafted for Bobby. What's intriguing is that after portraying the antagonist opposite Ranbir, Bobby is now gearing up to face Alia Bhatt, making this casting choice even more distinctive and influential. The character exudes a significant amount of style, and audiences can anticipate being surprised by Aditya Chopra and Shiv Rawail's portrayal of the antagonist.

Alia Bhatt in YRF Universe
Alia Bhatt will headline a standalone film within the YRF Spy Universe. The announcement was made by Yash Raj Films' CEO, Akshaye Widhani, during the FICCI Frames event. He said, "I’ll share the worst-kept secret in the industry, which is, Alia Bhatt is headlining a Spy Universe film, and the schedule starts later this year. But talking about this spy universe, we are just so thrilled and excited about having this IP in the studio."
Expressing great pride in the (IP), he hinted at multiple forthcoming projects within the spy universe. "As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it. So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to come in the spy universe. We’re going to see more and more films getting made under it. But, of course, not going to share everything here. We will talk about it at a more opportune time. For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is headlining a spy universe film," he added.

Reportedly, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will collaborate as super-agents in an action-packed, yet-to-be-titled film, sharing the screen. Filming for this action-packed movie is scheduled to commence later this year. The YRF Spy Universe was launched with Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012), followed by its sequel 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017), and 'War' (2019) starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. This universe further expanded with 'Pathaan,' featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham.
