13 years ago today, BLACKPINK member Jennie joined YG Entertainment, thereby becoming the first member of the yet to be formed Girl Group. Jennie was born in Cheongdam-dong, South Korea and grew up in Auckland, New Zealand until her high-school years, when she moved back to South Korea. After she settled in Seoul, she immediately became a trainee of YG Entertainment in 2010.
As Jennie completed 13 years of joining YG Entertainment, BLINKs took to micro-blogging site, X, and expressed their love for the K-pop star. Check reactions:

BLACKPINK Completes 7 Years In Industry
K pop girl group BLACKPINK recently completed its 7 years in the industry. The band consists of four members- Jisoo, Lisa, Rose and Jennie. Over the years, BLACKPINK’s music videos and songs have broken several records on YouTube and other platforms. For example, their song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" became the most-viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube at the time.
The girl band debuted in 2016. Before they made their musical debut, the four K-Pop stars underwent four years of training.
