‘Gadar 2’ is creating havoc at the box office and is still able to keep its fans entertained even after a month’s run at the box office. The film stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles, and is directed by Anil Sharma. The film also features Utkarsh Sharma and is on a record-breaking spree at the box office in India. The film has officially crossed the box office collection of Prabhas led ‘Baahubali 2’, helmed by S.S. Rajamouli. It has also crossed the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s first 2023 venture in India, ‘Pathaan’, which also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles.

After a solid 31 days run, ‘Gadar 2’ has accounted around Rs 515.03 Crore at the box office. The film has emerged as the second highest Hindi grosser in Bollywood. ‘Gadar 2’ is the only franchise in the history of Hindi Cinema to have a 100 percent track record of emerging an All-Time Grosser. It also witnessed a box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’, and afterwards withstand a solid competition with ‘Dream Girl 2.’

In its fifth week, ‘Gadar 2’ minted Rs 5.03 Crore. However, its stint at the top spot would be short lived with Shah Rukh Khan led ‘Jawan’ expected to surpass the collection numbers of ‘Baahubali’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Gadar 2’as well. The film is set to create another benchmark with a shot of emerging the first ever film to rake Rs 550 Crore in just 15 days. ‘Jawan’ has already entered the Rs 200 Crore club in India, in its opening weekend.

‘Gadar 2’ is the sequel of the 2001 film, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.’ The plot of ‘Gadar 2’ revolves around Sunny Deol as Tara Singh re-entering Pakistan, in order to bring his abducted son back. Ameesha Patel revives her role as Sakeena in the film.
