'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2' will be witnessing an intense battle tomorrow at the box office. Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar will finally be locking horns with each other after a significant wait. Looking at the current statistics, 'Gadar 2' is likely to have an edge over Akshay Kumar's satirical comedy. 'Gadar 2' is directed by Anil Sharma and features Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. On the other hand, 'OMG 2' is directed by Amit Rai and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in lead roles.

According to trade analyst Girish Johar, 'Gadar 2' is miles ahead of the sale of 'OMG 2.' He said, "Between both the releases, Gadar 2 is miles ahead of OMG2 not only in terms of promotions but also screens, advance ticket sales, hype amongst the audiences, and overall craze as well. I feel that team OMG 2 are smartly underplaying the film as they got their censor clearances late, and also they are confident of their product. They fully understand it will eventually do the talking at the box office. So they are not going overboard; they are not over-hyping the film. It is expected to near the double-digit start."

He further said, "Gadar 2 team is going all-out, which is probably the best thing to do with a film like this. Sunny Deol fans have clearly gone berserk and the audiences simply can't wait to watch the film. Despite being a non-holiday, its start is expected to be in the range of Rs 25 crores plus. I only hope and pray that both the films do well and extract maximum box office results from this Independence Day weekend."

'Gadar 2' is expected to rake around Rs 25 crore on its opening day. However, 'OMG 2' is playing safe and will possibly mint positive numbers between Rs 10-15 crore on its first day. While the two films battle it out at the box office, Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Premi Kahaani' is still minting decent numbers. However, Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' will spoil the party down South while North India will be out in full euphoria.
