Rajinikanth is all set to take over the box office with his smashing comeback film 'Jailer' on August 10. A day later, the film will be competing with Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' and Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' at the box office. However, according to several trade experts, the three films will happily coexist with Rajinikanth leading the game. 'Jailer' is set to be one of the biggest openings in Tamil Cinema. The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar, and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles.

Asking about the initial bookings of 'Jailer', the film stands with 900,000 advance booking tickets with 'Gadar 2' at 300,000 and 'OMG 2' at 45,000. According to a report in India Today, the South Indian audience is keen to witness the magic of Rajinikanth on the big screen over Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar.

In the report, trade expert Ramesh Bala said, "The primary audience for 'Jailer' is mostly in the South. It is also releasing in Tamil and Telugu better than Hindi I think. So, the Tamils and Telugus who are settled in Mumbai, Delhi and the other big cities will go and watch it. The primary target audience for 'Gadar '2 and 'OMG 2' would be the North of India, Maharashtra and above.

He continued, "But certainly, the South will prefer 'Jailer' and after watching it, they will watch 'Gadar 2' over the weekend. Hopefully, 80 per cent, they wouldn't eat into each other's business. There would be a 20 per cent overlap. There will be competition between 'Gadar ' and 'OMG 2'."
