Game Changer Box Office Report: Game Changer producer Dil Raju spoke about the profit sharing model at L2: Empuraan's press conference in Hyderabad. He was asked if this model might be used in Tollywood after Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that they prefer the profit-sharing arrangement over fixed pay. 

Dil Raju cited three innovative Tollywood filmmakers Prashanth Neel, Sukumar and Rajamouli to answer. The well-know producer clarified that rather than receiving a set payment for his movie, the SSMB29 filmmaker uses a profit-sharing approach. Additionally, he revealed that Prashanth Neel has taken a similar tack and thinks Telugu cinema would soon embrace this format.

Dil Raju also recalled this attempt with Ram Charan's movie Game Changer. He talked about his experience with Game Changer and disclosed that the initiative began with a profit-sharing scheme. Under this agreement, Ram Charan and director S Shankar were brought on board to finish the Telugu movie within a year and on a tight budget. However, due to production delays, both ultimately decided to pick fixed pay over profit sharing model.

Game Changer Box Office Report And Budget

Dil Raju produced Game Changer proved to be a disaster despite its Pongal release. The Telugu movie starring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani in the lead, was reportedly mounted on a whopping budget of Rs 450 crore. 

Game Changer made Rs 51 crore at the box office, which raised expectations that it will continue to make that amount. However, it began to decline, which had a detrimental effect on the movie's overall box office performance. The political drama began generating in lakhs as it entered its second weekday and showed no signs of recovery. Game Changer's overall revenue is significantly less than half of its original budget. 

Game Changer minted Rs 130.74 crore after 23 days of release, as per industry tracker sacnilk.
