Alia Bhatt celebrated the third anniversary of Gangubai Kathiawadi alongside the director’s birthday. The actress shared a photo on her Instagram featuring herself, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, her husband Ranbir Kapoor, and Love & War co-star Vicky Kaushal. The trio has been shooting for the highly anticipated movie Love & War. They gathered to celebrate Bhansali's birthday and not only celebrated the director's birthday and Gangubai Kathiawadi's third anniversary but also Vicky’s recent success with Chhaava. Along with the post, the Jigra actress wrote, "A quick break from night shoots to celebrate our director. Happy birthday, magician sir (and happy 3 to our Gangu too) & lastly, many many cheers and claps for @vickykaushal09 for absolutely smashing the box office with Chhaava!!! Chalo abhi, party over… back to shoot."

Love & War is slated to release in cinemas on March 20, 2026. It is reportedly a love triangle set against a war backdrop. After the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, the actor-director duo, Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, are set to reunite once again in this movie.

 

About Gangubai Kathiawadi Plot

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi follows the story of a maiden sold by a suitor into prostitution. It portrays her journey as she becomes a prominent and celebrated figure in the underworld and Kamathipura's red-light district. Her rise to power leads her to face many challenges along the way. The film also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Jim Sarbh, and Indira Tiwari in pivotal roles.
