Gaurav Khanna essayed the role of Anuj Kapadia, while Rupali Ganguly still plays the lead role in Anupamaa. A recent 15-year jump in renowned daily TV soap resulted in the departure of numerous significant people. After Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Vanraj Shah, Gaurav has left the Anupamaa.
After a two-month hiatus from the set, Gaurav Khanna has finally spoken up, declaring that this phase of his career has concluded. The actor, however, is open to the idea of returning to this world and does not see it as the end.
Gaurav Khanna discussed the forthcoming track and his absence from the show in an interview with Etimes. "People have been constantly asking me about my return to Anupamaa. Rajan sir (producer Rajan Shahi) had discussed the possibility of a grand re-entry for the character, and we waited two months for it to materialise. However, the storyline had to progress, and waiting no longer made sense, " he said.
Gaurav Khanna added, "He, too, felt it was time for me to explore something bigger. So, for now, Anuj’s chapter is closed, but I see it as a comma, not a full stop. If the story demands and my schedule allows, I’d be happy to return."
The actor disclosed that his role was initially intended to be a three-month cameo but ended up playing a three-year role in the plot. He conveyed his appreciation to fans and followers.

The reports of Gaurav Khanna and Rupali Ganguly's fallout often hit the headlines. The actor has starred in television series such as CID, Kumkum: Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, Meri Doli Tere Angna, Jeevan Saathi, Sasural Simar Ka, Tere Bin, and Gangaa in addition to Anupamaa.
