Babil Khan Friday Night Plan Trailer Out: Babil Khan marked a remarkable debut in the Hindi film industry with Anvita Dutt's psychological thriller 'Qala' last year. Now, he has once again collaborated with Netflix India for a new project titled 'Friday Night Plan,' a slice-of-life movie directed by Vatsal Neelkanthan. The trailer for the film was released on Monday morning, depicting Babil in the role of a school student who shares a close relationship with his brother and attends a Friday night gathering while his mother is away.

In the trailer, Babil portrays an ordinary school student. He occupies a front-row seat in class and begins to capture the attention of the entire school after successfully scoring a goal in a football match. He appears to relish the newfound attention from his female peers and consents to participate in a 'Friday Night Plan' at the residence of a fellow schoolmate.

Juhi Chawla takes on the role of Babil's mother. She informs both Babil and his brother about her absence on a Friday night, inquiring whether they can handle things independently for a day. They readily agree, eager to take part in the anticipated 'Friday Night Plan.'

Babil and Amrith Jayan, cast as brothers, are depicted engaging in both arguments and moments of bonding throughout the trailer. The two appear to be contrasting personalities—Babil leans toward avoidance, while his brother frequently creates situations that require him and their mother to rectify.

'Friday Night Plan' is being brought to the audience by Excel Entertainment, a production company owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The production house has been associated with significant films centred around camaraderie and companionship, such as Farhan's directorial debut 'Dil Chahta Hai' from 2001, Zoya Akhtar's 2011 road movie focused on friendship, 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,' and the upcoming all-female road movie 'Jee Le Zaraa,' directed by Farhan and featuring Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra.

Excel Entertainment has also been involved in the production of two recent series for Prime Video India: Reema Kagti's police procedural 'Dahaad' and the second season of Zoya and Reema's 'Made in Heaven.' Both ventures were funded in collaboration with Zoya and Reema's Tiger Baby Films.

For those unfamiliar, Babil is the son of late actor Irrfan Khan and screenwriter Sutapa Sikdar. He clinched several 'Best Newcomer' awards last year, sharing the accolades with Shantanu Maheshwari for their roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi.' 'Friday Night Plan' is scheduled for release on Netflix India on September 1.
