Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has opened up about her marriage, revealing that she and the actor live in separate homes. In a recent interview, Sunita shared how their relationship dynamics have changed over the years, especially now that they have been married for 37 years.

The couple, who tied the knot in 1987, currently live in two different properties. Sunita and their children live in a flat, while Govinda resides in a bungalow across the street. Sunita explained that their living arrangements stem from Govinda’s busy schedule. He often stays late after meetings, socializing with friends, while Sunita prefers a quieter life with her children.

“We have two houses; I live in the flat with my kids, and he stays in the bungalow. He loves to talk and socialize, whereas I prefer to keep things simple and not waste energy on too much conversation,” Sunita said. She added that they rarely engage in long conversations, as she values her energy.

In the interview with Pinkvilla, Sunita also discussed the lack of romance in their marriage. She expressed her longing for a more carefree relationship, sharing that she wishes they could enjoy simple pleasures like eating street food together. She also mentioned that Govinda’s dedication to work has left little time for personal moments.

“I have told him that in my next life, I don’t want him to be my husband. He’s always working, and I’ve never had the chance to go out on a holiday with him,” she said. Sunita also joked about the possibility of Govinda becoming involved in something outside their marriage. “Now, I’m not sure. People change, and after 60, you never know what they do behind your back,” she quipped.

Despite her concerns, Sunita acknowledged that their marriage has lasted for nearly four decades, and they have two children—Yashvardhan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja. However, she admitted that her sense of security has diminished over the years. “Earlier, I didn’t care much, but now that he’s over 60, I’m a bit scared. When he was younger, he had no time for affairs, but now I wonder what he might do when he’s idle,” she said. Govinda and Sunita’s marriage, though enduring, has had its ups and downs, and Sunita’s candid remarks offer a glimpse into the complexities of their relationship.
