Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been together for 37 years and have always been Bollywood’s favourite couple. They do not profess their love publicly, but roasting each other is their love language. According to the latest buzz surfacing online, the couple is heading for divorce. This news has shocked fans. Amid the separation rumours, Govinda’s niece Arti Singh refuted the reports, calling them baseless gossip.
Reacting to the divorce rumours, Arti Singh told News 18, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now, so I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something, this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years, so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all such rumors from, completely untrue."
She continued, saying, "People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also broken out for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress." Although Govinda and Sunita have not commented on these reports yet, Arti defended them.
Addressing these divorce reports, Sunita Ahuja's manager, Sadia Solkar, told The Mint, "This is not true." Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, also denied the claims. He stated that Sunita's recent statements in interviews have led to the current situation. Sinha clarified that, as of now, they are not involved in any legal proceedings and urged everyone to wait for further developments.
Govinda’s wife Sunita’s recent interview is going viral, where she revealed that they both live in separate houses. Last month, in an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita mentioned that she lives in a flat with their children, Tina and Yashvardhan, while Govinda lives in a bungalow opposite the apartment because he stays late after meetings and gatherings.
She also made other revelations about their marriage. Talking about the actor's romantic nature, Sunita shared, “I have told him that in my next life, he should not be my husband. He doesn’t go on holidays. I am a person who wants to go out with her husband and eat pani-puri on the streets. He spends too much time working… I don’t recall a single instance when we both went out to watch a movie."
Sunita also opened up about how she used to feel secure in her marriage earlier, but she does not feel the same anymore. “I used to be very secure earlier in our marriage, now I am not." Govinda and Sunita tied the knot on March 11, 1987. The couple shares two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan Ahuja.
