Gurucharan Singh Missing: The Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actor, renowned for his role as 'Sodhi', has been missing for nearly 20 days. Despite no significant developments on his location, recent reports shed light on his financial situation prior to his disappearance on April 22, 2024. According to report in ANI, the Delhi Police, Gurucharan Singh managed 10 bank accounts and heavily depended on credit cards. Allegedly, he frequently utilised these credit cards and was facing financial difficulties. The Delhi Police, after conducting an investigation, has initiated a parallel inquiry into the matter through its Special Cell.
Gurucharan Operated Multiple Bank Accounts
In a significant discovery, authorities have uncovered that Gurucharan Singh managed over 10 financial accounts. Despite his challenging financial situation, official sources disclosed that he maintained numerous accounts. He hasn't been in contact since April 22.
His activities reportedly included cash withdrawals through credit cards and settling dues from one card with another. The last known transaction was a withdrawal of Rs 14,000 from an ATM, with no further information available thereafter.
Initial inquiries revealed that Gurucharan was showing an inclination towards spirituality and had contemplated a trip to the mountains. While he was expected to arrive in Mumbai on April 22, it's alleged that he misled the person who was to receive him, according to police sources.

Previously, deeply concerned, the actor's father lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police, outlining his son's sudden disappearance since his intended journey to Mumbai. "My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing."
Days later, a team from the Delhi Police Special Cell commenced an inquiry into Gurucharan's baffling disappearance at his residence. The Delhi police has lodged an FIR under Section 365 (abduction). Based on CCTV footage, police stated that he was last seen near the Delhi airport on April 22, carrying a backpack. Despite efforts, Gurucharan has neither arrived in Mumbai, where he earns his livelihood, nor returned home. His phone remains inaccessible, heightening his family's anxieties.
