Gurucharan Singh, known for his role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been absent for nearly two weeks, and authorities suspect that he intentionally orchestrated his disappearance. Known for his portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi, the actor has been missing since April 22 when he was expected to board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai, but he never did, and hasn't returned home since. Police have initiated a kidnapping investigation following a complaint lodged by Gurucharan’s father, and multiple teams have been mobilised to locate him.

While there hasn't been significant updates in the case of Gurucharan, reports claim that actor likely planned his own missing. According to News18, "He left his phone in the Palam area. We (Police sources in Delhi) are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like, he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi."

Gurucharan Singh missing

On the evening of April 22, the actor disappeared. His father filed a missing person report, stating that his son had left home to catch a flight to Mumbai. However, he neither arrived in Mumbai nor returned home, and his phone was also unreachable.

Gurucharan's father lodged a missing person report four days later, stating, "My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing."

Several days later, a unit from the Delhi Police Special Cell conducted an investigation into Gurucharan's perplexing disappearance at his residence. The Delhi police has initiated an FIR under Section 365 (abduction). According to the police, he was last observed near the Delhi airport on April 22 carrying a backpack, as per CCTV footage.
