When Indian users try to access Hania Aamir, Ali Zafar, and Mahira Khan's Instagram handles they see a message stating: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.” The actors also include Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas and Sajal Aly.

After the incident, Fawad Khan, who is set to make his Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulaal release has been banned in India. The latest reports also suggest that Pakistan has put a ban due to the tension with the neighbouring country. The movie also stars Vaani Kapoor.
