Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in Animal, shared insights into the life advice he received from business magnate Mukesh Ambani. During the Maharashtrian of the Year award ceremony, the actor was recognised for his remarkable contributions to cinema in the past year. Accepting it, Ranbir referred to 'Mukesh Bhai' as his source of inspiration and disclosed that the businessman has consistently advised him to remain grounded in the face of success and resilient in the face of failure. Mukesh Ambani, seated among the audience, was observed smiling during Ranbir's speech.

What Ambani told Ranbir

"I’ll keep this very short and simple. Mere zindagi ke teen simple lakshya hai, teen stamb hai (I have three goals, three pillars that I follow). Pehla ke acha kaam karo, badi vinamrata se kaam karo (Do good work). Mukesh bhai (Mukesh Ambani) se maine bahut prerna li hai (I have taken inspiration from Mukesh bhai). He always told me to keep your head down and continue to work. Don’t take success to your head and failure to your heart," Ranbir said.

The actor added, "Dusra, acha insaan bano, ek acha beta, acha baap, acha pati, acha bhai, acha dost, aur sabse, sabse important, ek acha naagrik bano. Mujhe bahut garv hai ke main ek Mumbaikar hoon aur aise puraskaar mere liye bahut mahiyne rakhta hai toh bahut shukriya (Second, be a good person — a good son, father, husband, brother, friend and most importantly, be a good citizen. I am proud to be a Mumbaikar and this award is very important to me so thank you for this honour)."
