Chinese actress Zhao Lusi, known for her role in the hit Netflix series Hidden Love, recently made her first public appearance after battling severe health challenges. The 26-year-old star was diagnosed with Dissociative Conversion Disorder in December 2024, a condition affecting her physical and mental well-being. Her recovery journey, shared through a heartfelt video, has deeply moved fans worldwide.

On January 25, Zhao Lusi attended a fan meeting organised by the beverage brand Viee in Chengdu, China. This marked her first public event since her health condition was revealed. Arriving in a horse-drawn carriage, she was greeted by an outpouring of love and cheers from fans, many of whom were visibly emotional. Lusi, in turn, tried to comfort her supporters, thanking them for their unwavering encouragement.

During the event, the actress opened up about her struggles. "I experienced symptoms of paralysis and loss of speech. It was very difficult, but now, I am grateful for how far I have come," she shared. Lusi expressed her determination to show her progress before the Chinese New Year, a gesture that resonated deeply with her fans.

On December 18, 2024, Zhao Lusi was rushed to a Shanghai hospital following symptoms linked to severe depression or neurological issues, reportedly due to work-related stress. She was diagnosed with Dissociative Conversion Disorder, a condition that disrupts the integration of consciousness, memory and physical movements. This led to temporary paralysis and a loss of speech, making day-to-day activities challenging for the actress.
