BTS RM aka Kim Namjoon has once again shown his thoughtful and humble nature while serving in the South Korean military. Recently, fans were abuzz with excitement after seeing photos of soldiers clearing snow in a mountainous region which were shared by RM on his Instagram story, assuming he was one of them. However, the artist took to Instagram Stories on January 28 to clarify the situation.
In his post, RM wrote, “It’s not me on the story picture yesterday...I got this from the news...It’s snowing through the holidays. Cheers to all the soldiers in the military.” This heartfelt message not only addressed the misunderstanding but also acknowledged the hard work of his fellow soldiers.

The photo, which was widely shared by fans, showed soldiers working together to clear snow in a physically demanding environment. While RM was not in the image, fans were quick to appreciate his gesture of sharing it and highlighting the efforts of those serving alongside him.
Away from the limelight, RM has consistently kept fans updated about his military life since enlisting in December 2023. From sharing moments with his military companions to reflecting on his duties, he continues to stay connected with ARMYs. Earlier this week, he posted pictures of himself enjoying a karaoke session with fellow soldiers, where they vibed to BTS’ hit track MIC DROP.
RM will be discharged in June 2025, joining the other BTS members as they gradually complete their service. Until then, fans eagerly await his return, showering him and the rest of BTS with unwavering support.
