Rajan Shahi, the director-producer known for his cult shows Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupama, has made a shocking revelation about Hina Khan. The actress, who rose to fame by playing Akshara Maheshwari Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was terminated from the show because of some problems raised due to her behaviour on the sets. Rajan praised Hina for her commitment but also shared his displeasure with working with the actress after her raising tantrums over the last few months. The director-producer also shared that timing was a problem and revealed that Hina used to interfere with the script often. 

Recalling one such incident to Telly Talk India, Rajan Shahi said “One day, the shoot was going on and Hina didn’t want to say some lines that were in support of Shivangi Joshi’s character Naira. There was a certain level of script interference where Hina refused to say those lines. That day I told her she would have to do the scene as it was, when she didn’t agree I told her to either shoot or leave the set.”

Additionally, Shahi said that Hina sat in the makeup room for the whole day and later left the set at night. The actress then received a message from the makers about her termination. The leading lady was asked not to come to the set anymore but still, the diva showed up the next day. She also shot the sequence as it was written in the script but Rajan Shahi didn’t want to work with her anymore, so he informed Hina that the association could not be continued further.

Rajan Shahi also revealed that he had scrapped six scenes of Hina Khan that she shot with Shivangi Joshi that day. He also further claimed that after Hina’s exit, the team took three days to reboot the entire way of functioning and still managed to gain a higher number of TRPs.
