Indian Movies Popular In South Korea: South Korean cinema has gained a massive fan following worldwide and their movies and television shows have also found popularity in India. Not many people know that there are some Hindi movies that became a huge hit in South Korea. From Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots' to Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan', take a look at the list of Hindi movies which became blockbusters in South Korea.
1. Dangal
'Dangal' revolves around Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler, who trains his daughter to win a gold medal in wrestling despite facing social stigma. The movie stars Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sakshi Tanwar, Aparshakti Khurana, Suhani Bhatnagar and Ritkvik Sahore. 'Dangal' became one of the most successful movies in India and also became a massive hit in China, Japan and South Korea.
2. 3 Idiots
'3 Idiots' also became a huge hit in South Korea, Japan and China because of the similar education system and the movie resonated with several students across several Asian countries. The movie revolves around Farhan and Raju, who embark on an exciting journey to find their college friend Rancho. Starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya, the movie is streaming on Prime Video.
3. Taare Zameen Par
Aamir Khan's other blockbuster movie 'Taare Zameen Par' became a huge hit in several Asian countries because of its sensitive topic and the pressure of school on young children. The movie revolves around Ishaan, who is criticised by his parents for his poor academic performance but later gets help from his teacher.
4. My Name Is Khan
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular actors in the world and is well-known in South Korea as well. His movie 'My Name Is Khan' became a massive success internationally and reportedly earned 2 million USD in South Korea. The movie revolves around an autistic Muslim man, who embarks on a journey to meet the president of the US after his wife suffers from Islamophobic discrimination after the 9/11 attacks. It also stars Kajol in the lead role.

5. Black
'Black', starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee in the lead roles, was released in South Korea in the dubbed Korean language. As per reports, the movie collected 3.8 billion Won within two weeks of its release. The movie revolves around Debraj, who helps Michelle, a girl with visual and hearing impairment as she wants to graduate from college.
