Retro has now made Rs 34.75 crore in India, according to the most recent report by sacnilk. With Rs 14 crore on its first day (Thursday), the romantic drama got off to a great start. Day 1 - Rs 19.25 crore

Day 2 - Rs 7.75 crore

Day 3 - Rs 7.75 crore

TOTAL - Rs 34.75 crore

Suriya is receiving all the praise for his ability to effortlessly convey emotional depth through his eyes. The supporting ensemble, which included Jayaram, Joju George and others, gave their best performances, while the leading woman, Pooja Hegde, was excellent in her unglamorous character.

Given the intense competition from HIT 3 and Raid 2 in other states, the box office drop makes sense. Some people think that in order to acquire greater momentum, Suriya may have used more forceful promos, much like Nani did. Retro might gain a wider cult following when it starts to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada on Netflix post theatrical release.

In the Hindi-speaking region, where Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 is presently ruling the box office, neither of the two regional movies have had a big impact. The crime thriller debuted with a solid Rs 18 crore nett after its May 1 release at the ticket windows.
