House of the Dragon Season 2 has finally made its grand debut in India. Episode 1 of the popular web series is currently streaming on JioCinema, while in foreign countries, it is being streamed on HBO Max. Recent reports, sparked by a social media post, have indicated that the first episode of House of the Dragon Season 2 was uploaded on JioCinema with some scenes possibly censored. This concern has arisen among some netizens due to the noticeable difference in episode lengths between the versions on Max and JioCinema.

According to the reports, the international broadcast of the episode runs for approximately 58 minutes, whereas the version available on JioCinema is around 55 minutes long. This three-minute discrepancy has led to suspicions that certain sex scenes might have been edited out from the Indian release, prompting discussions and concerns about potential censorship.

Has JioCinema censored House of the Dragon?

The answer is unclear. Available information suggests the violent and intimate scenes are unaltered. JioCinema’s support team assured a subscriber on X that the episode is unedited, attributing any runtime differences to 'technical aspects,' which adds to the mystery.

House Of The Dragon is one of the most-viewed TV series. The series premiere set a record as HBO's biggest ever, drawing over 10 million viewers on its first day across traditional channels and HBO Max.
