Hrithik Roshan is all set to take on a new challenge as he steps into the director’s chair for Krrish 4. His father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, recently announced that Hrithik would be helming the next instalment of the beloved superhero franchise. Backed by Aditya Chopra, the film is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin filming in early 2026.

To celebrate this big career move, Hrithik shared a playful animated clip on X, where Krrish is seen in a Ghibli-style action sequence before switching roles to direct. The video, which merges Bollywood’s superhero world with the whimsical charm of Studio Ghibli, has left fans thrilled.

Rakesh Roshan expressed his pride in his son’s journey through an emotional Instagram post. He recalled launching Hrithik as an actor 25 years ago and now witnessing him take charge as a director. "Duggu, 25 years back, I launched you as an actor, and today, after 25 years, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to take forward our most ambitious film, Krrish 4," he wrote.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rakesh further elaborated on Hrithik’s deep connection with the franchise, stating, “Hrithik has lived, breathed, and dreamt about Krrish since the beginning. He has a clear and ambitious vision for where he wants to take this story.”

As expected, fans flooded the comments with excitement. One user called the video “hilarious and sweet,” while another shared, “Really excited to see Hrithik as a director for Krrish 4.” Many also expressed relief that after years of waiting, the film is finally moving forward.
