Alia Bhatt is currently working on Yash Raj Films' much anticipated female-led spy universe Alpha. It also stars Munjya actress Sharvari Wagh in the lead role. The plot and cast have been kept under wraps by the makers. According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 and Alia’s Alpha are connected. A source close to the films told the publication that Hrithik will be playing mentor to Alia Bhatt in Alpha.
In July, the actress shared the announcement teaser of Shiv Rawail's directorial. The caption of the post was written “It’s the time of the #ALPHA.. Girls! 💥💥💥 @shivrawail | @yrf | #YRFSpyUniverse.” Fans were eager to see the actress in the spy universe. A user said, “SHARVARI AND ALIA BHATT Y'LL!!!! The best duo in action.” Another said, “The ALPHA- female Alia Bhatt in spy universe.” A comment read, “Salman as Tiger, Katrina as Zoya, Hrithik as Kabir, John as Jim, Shahrukh as Pathaan ,Deepika as Rubai & Now Alia as Alpha. What a character selection....Spy Universe is going to heaven for cinema lovers.”
Recently, Sharvari told how John Abraham helped her in preparation for Alpha. She told Pinkvilla, “I don’t think anybody can do better than John. So to be able to learn from John, I think I’m taking a lot of knowledge and getting into Alpha because I have seen John perform action in front of me and some incredible action set pieces have been directed so I was looking at John performing every day and I was trying to note what happens. He is super kicked about Alpha.”
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 will also feature Jr NTR, John Abraham, Kiara Advani and Shabir Ahluwalia. As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Hrithik and Kiara have shot their introduction scenes. The actress shot a fight scene at Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai in four days. Whereas Hrithik battled Japanese antagonists at the iconic Shaolin Temple. The movie is scheduled to be released in theatres in 2025.
