IIFA 2024 Winners List: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024 concluded with a spectacular ceremony in Abu Dhabi, celebrating the finest talents of Indian cinema. The grand event, which took place over three days starting on September 27, saw the who's who of Bollywood in attendance. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Hema Malini, Rekha, Anil Kapoor and many others graced the red carpet, making it an unforgettable night.
In the acting categories, Shah Rukh Khan took home the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in Jawan. The film marked Shah Rukh's return to action-packed roles and has been a commercial success and received widespread acclaim. The actor’s acceptance speech was heartfelt and grateful as he acknowledged his fellow nominees Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikrant Massey and Vicky Kaushal. He humorously mentioned how his wife Gauri Khan was spending more money on him, referring to their challenging period during Jawan's production.

Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress award for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Her performance as a determined mother fighting for her children resonated deeply with audiences, making it a worthy win. Rani’s acceptance speech highlighted her journey with the film and how it continues to impact viewers.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, turned out to be the biggest winner of the night. The film bagged the prestigious Best Film award, along with several others. Anil Kapoor, who delivered a stellar performance in Animal, won Best Supporting Actor, while Bobby Deol, who played the antagonist, won Best Actor in a Negative Role. The film’s soundtrack, featuring multiple composers, also took home the Best Music award and Siddharth-Garima won Best Lyrics for the song Satranga.
Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra was awarded Best Director for 12th Fail, a film based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Sharma. The biopic’s inspirational storyline and strong performances, particularly by Vikrant Massey, were praised by both critics and audiences.

Special Recognition and Performances
The IIFA 2024 also recognized industry stalwarts and rising stars. Hema Malini received the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award for her illustrious career spanning over five decades. Karan Johar was honoured for completing 25 years in cinema, a milestone that was celebrated with a heartfelt tribute. Alizeh Agnihotri, the niece of Salman Khan, was named Debutant of the Year.
The event’s highlights also included breathtaking performances by Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Vicky Kaushal. Shahid, along with Prabhu Deva, left the audience spellbound with his dance act, while Vicky brought the house down with his viral song Tauba Tauba.

The IIFA 2024 Awards proved to be a night to remember, not just for the winners but for the entire Indian film industry. The festivities will conclude with IIFA Rocks, an exclusive, invitation-only event, where Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will perform for a select audience.
