Kamal Haasan, the legendary actor, and filmmaker, has announced the much-awaited release date of his upcoming movie Indian 2. The film, directed by Shankar, is set to hit the screens worldwide in June this year. The news came alongside the unveiling of a captivating new poster, showcasing Kamal Haasan in a striking new look as Senapathy.

In the newly released poster, Kamal Haasan's character appears dramatically different, sporting greying hair, a white shirt, and a vesthi, with his hands bound in handcuffs behind his back. The background is vividly coloured in bright yellow and orange hues, adding to the intensity of the image. The poster also reveals the subtitle of the film, "Zero Tolerance," hinting at the strong and decisive nature of Kamal Haasan's character.

The release date was announced by Kamal Haasan himself, who shared the poster on social media with a caption that read, "Gear up for the comeback of Senapathy! INDIAN-2 🇮🇳 is all set to storm in cinemas this JUNE. Mark your calendar for the epic saga!"

Fans of Kamal Haasan and the Indian franchise were quick to express their excitement and anticipation for the film. Many commented on the poster, praising Kamal Haasan's look and expressing their eagerness to watch the movie. One fan exclaimed, "Senapathy is back!" while another remarked, "That look! Can't wait."

'Indian 2' is a sequel to the highly successful film Indian, which was released 27 years ago. The shooting of Indian 2 faced a tragic setback in 2020 when a crane collapsed on the set, resulting in the death of three crew members and injuries to ten others. Despite the challenges, the team has persevered to bring this epic saga to the audience.

The film boasts a talented team, with Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer and Ravi Varman as the director of photography. Apart from Kamal Haasan, the movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the project.
