IT Raids In Hyderabad: The Income Tax (IT) department has been conducting a series of raids in Hyderabad, spanning over three days and covering eight different locations. The raids have brought several prominent figures in the Telugu film industry under scrutiny, including Dil Raju, the Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, as well as notable filmmakers Sukumar, Ravi and Naveen. Amidst this ongoing IT crackdown, renowned actor Venkatesh Daggubati has shared his thoughts on the matter.

On January 23, 2025, while promoting his latest film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, in Hyderabad, Venkatesh was quizzed by reporters about the IT raids targeting filmmakers in the city, and his response was characteristically lighthearted.

According to a report in News 18, Venkatesh said, at the press conference, “I don’t know about others, but I am fully white – the whitest of white. I take so little, never too much, and only take white money. That, too, is given in my office, and I take it from there when I need it for expenses. I am a very simple person.”

On Wednesday, IT officials conducted a raid on the residence and office of renowned filmmaker Sukumar in Hyderabad. According to reports by Sakshi Post, the raids commenced early in the morning and continued for several hours, sparking curiosity and speculation about the purpose behind the sudden action.

The Pushpa 2 director was not at his residence when the raids began, as he was at the Hyderabad airport. However, he was promptly escorted back to his home by IT officials, after which the raids were carried out.

According to reports, the IT officials are suspecting tax evasion and are diligently verifying documents and financial records to uncover any potential discrepancies.
