Jailer Box Office Collection Day 1: Superstar Rajinikanth graced the big screens with 'Jailer' on August 10 after a gap of 2 years and mesmerized the audience with his charm. Fans celebrated the film's release with full enthusiasm which led to 'Jailer's opening day collection stand around Rs 44.50 crore in India, with gross collection cross Rs 50 crore.
According to Sachnilk.com, 'Jailer' minted Rs 52 crore gross on Thursday. This includes Rs 23 crore from Tamil Nadu, Rs 11 crore from Karnataka, followed by Rs 5 crore from Kerala. The film collected Rs 10 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and Rs 3 crore from the other states.

'Jailer' made distinctive records on its opening day and is said to be the biggest opening of 2023 in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. On the other hand, the film recorded the highest opening for any Tamil film in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
The film is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and marks the maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth. The plot of the venture revolves around 'Tiger' as a Jailer named Muthuvel Pandian who is focused to stop a gang of goons who are planning to free their jailed leader.
The film also features Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, and Shiva Rajakumar in pivotal roles. 'Jailer' also has special cameo appearances by Jackie Shroff and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.
