Jailer Box Office Collection Day 12: Rajinikanth's sensational hit 'Jailer' continues to enthrall viewers even on week days, sustaining its captivating allure in theatres. The film has smoothly surpassed the total earnings of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 1,' firmly establishing itself as the highest-grossing Tamil movie in India. Moreover, 'Jailer' has set a precedent by breaking numerous box office records, a trend that persists. Most recently, the film achieved a significant milestone by amassing an impressive Rs 500 crore globally, and its impressive performance remains resolute.

Amid significant anticipation, 'Jailer' entered the theatres on August 10. The film's multilingual release enticed moviegoers with eager anticipation. On Tuesday, the Rajinikanth-led movie managed to amass roughly Rs 5 crore. This contributes to a cumulative collection of Rs 292.70 crore in India over a span of 13 days. On August 22, 'Jailer' upheld an aggregate audience occupancy rate of 14.24 per cent.

Crafted and helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, 'Jailer' is a dynamic action-oriented film that stars Rajinikanth portraying the character of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The cast also includes Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, and Vasanth Ravi in pivotal roles. Additionally, the movie boasts explosive cameo appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.

About Jailer:

'Sun Pictures' took the production reins for 'Jailer,' while the musical composition was orchestrated by Anirudh Ravichander. The film's visual aesthetics were overseen by cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, and the editing was skilfully managed by R Nirmal.

In the movie, Rajinikanth played the character of Muthu Tiger Pandian. In this role, he embodied a retired police officer and former prison overseer. Muthu is known for his unique methods of dealing with villains, involving beheadings and fatal stabbings.

His expertise lies in eliminating villains who pose a threat to his family's safety. Muthu also taps into an extensive network of dubious contacts, portrayed by a diverse group of actors and notable personalities, who aid him in eliminating these potential dangers.
